Product Description
Swift Canoes Flashfire
The Flashfire was designed as and should be considered the smaller sister to the Wildfire model. It’s best suited as a solo boat for smaller/lighter paddlers wanting a high performing, lightweight solo canoe. Swift Canoes have developed the original mould, and it is now suitable for Swifts resin infusion manufacturing process.
With a similar hull profile to the Wildfire, the Flashfire is slightly shorter, so can literally spin on the spot, especially when leant over and turned by an experienced paddler. Thanks to its small size, the Swift Flashfire is extremely responsive and the slightest paddle movements will translate to how the boat moves on the water’s surface. The solo seat has a curved front edge to make it more comfortable to paddle, from either a sitting or kneeling position. The seat hangers can also be after-market modified fairly easily (with some DIY skills and tools) to adjust the height or angle to customise it for the owner’s preference. Overall, the Flashfire would be best suited to more experienced paddlers, wanting a solo boat with a strong heritage and to provide a fun, enjoyable day paddle, rather than multi-day tripping or load carrying.
As with all the standard Swift Canoes and Pack Boats we import into the UK, the outfitting on the Swift Flashfire is considered to be amongst the best in class. With strength, lightness and careful thought being put into the components used to outfit the boats. We import the best-selling Swift Canoes, based on UK paddlers requirements and these are displayed on our website. However, Swift do offer a huge array of material options, outfitting choices, and custom builds. If you would like to design you own ‘super canoe’ from Swifts many options, and have a custom-built boat, then we would highly recommend looking at the Swift Website. Here you will find a custom boat building tool, and some fantastic videos which clearly explain the many features, outfitting choices, and materials available:
