Product Description

Swift Canoes Pack 13.8

The 13.8 pack boat from Swift Canoes is the direct replacement for their original 13.6. The re-design has incorporated the latest Swift materials and dig features, to bring this popular size pack-boat up to date with the rest of the range. The 13.8 has a wide, stable shallow arch hull to provide good stability, and rounded chines to assist with choppier lake surfaces.

A nice feature on the Pack 13.8 is the S-Bend gunnels. These have proven to be very successful on Swift’s Cruiser line-up, and allow the paddler a more natural, lower angle paddling style, and means less contact between the paddles and the gunnels. As the Pack 13.8 is lightly longer than it’s smaller 12.6 counterpart, it also has more overall volume making it better suited for heavier paddlers, or carrying overnight kit, small child or even a four-legged friend!

Like all Pack-Boats, the 13.8 is designed to be paddled from seated position, using a long, double bladed kayak paddle. However, it can also be used with a traditional single-bladed canoe paddle if desired. Like all UK-spec. Swift boats, the 13.8 is factory fitted with black/gold carbon kevlar gunnels, and a two-tone boat colour scheme, with the ‘champagne’ coloured hull great for concealing any character marks it may pick up during its lifetime.
