The symmetrical Prospector canoe is widely considered to be the most all-round canoe type ever designed, and hugely popular as the go-to canoe for most days out. Easy to paddle with its forgiving lines and stable hull shape. Ideal for day paddling, weekend getaways or lake fishing on remote waters. Unlike purely flat-water cruising boats, the Prospector shape has a moderate rocker which allows them to turn quicker, making them more manoeuvrable and better suited for faster flowing rivers (not shallow white-water) or meandering waterways.

The Swift Prospector 15 makes for a nice lightweight, stable tandem day boat. Easy enough to paddle solo when required and out of all the Swift tandem canoe line-up, the Prospector 15 comes out the lightest (16.8kg). The 15 can be loaded up with overnight camping kit if required, but most people would benefit from the 16ft Prospector if considering multi-day expeditions.
